Oak & Ember was conceived through a sincere wish to share the goodness of high quality food with everyone around us. After many hot and bothered evenings slapping steaks and meats over the hottest grill, and even more months of perfecting recipes and sourcing for the freshest ingredients possible..

Our grill master extraordinaire, Chef CY, is the calm, steady and creative force behind the kitchen. His creativity knows no bounds and he is constantly experimenting with new flavours and techniques.

Once, we threw him a cilantro and he magicked it into a amazingly refreshing Cilantro Lime Rice.

Throw him a corn, and..

"Corn bread! You've never tried corn bread? You don't know what you're missing out on."

PS: you have to try his Coconut Caramel Corn Bread dessert on the menu!

Likes: anything smothered in peanut butter, and cheesecake.

Better known as FEI - pronounced Fai (rhymes with why) - although he won't tell you why.

With over a decade of experience in the industry, he has worked at some of Singapore's top establishments, including Resorts World Sentosa and The Capitol Kempinski Hotel. But he left it all behind to pursue his dream of opening a restaurant with Chef CY.

According to Chef Fei, everything fell into place the moment he met Chef CY a few years ago. He knew they were destined to work together. Walk into the kitchen and you will find the two of them working in absolute silence, with only the sizzle and whizzle of charred meat.

When CY stretches out his hand, i immediately know what he needs - a spoon, a ladle, a fork.
